Shuhaela (Ela) Zen is a Director of Tusk. Ela is a well-respected young leader in Indonesia and she has a solid track record in leading program management offices for major infrastructure and economic development programs.

 

She was previously the lead national adviser of the shadow program management office for the implementation of Indonesia’s 15-Year economic master plan called MP3EI, within the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (CMEA). She is currently advising the CMEA on the implementation of priority projects via a newly established agency called KPPIP. KPPIP is the government’s lead coordinating agency for implementing priority projects, which was designed and developed by Tusk via an institution building technical assistance.

 

On the private sector side, Ela has led a number of M&As in the infrastructure sector and as advised a number of foreign investors with their investments in Indonesia. She is currently advising a state owned enterprise with its transformation from a civil contractor to a toll road concessionaire and holding company of infrastructure SOEs to implement a major infrastructure project. Prior to joining Tusk, Ela was with a number of multi national firms, including McKinsey & Co and L’Oreal.

 

Ela holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, majoring in accounting from University of Indonesia graduating with Magna Cum Laude. She recently completed the “Oxford-Chicago Valuation Program” at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School.
